Preparing
bare concrete surfaces with Concrete Clean-N-Etch
1.
Sweep and
power wash surface to remove loose dirt, mold or mildew.
Use a degreaser like Seal-Krete
OSR
to
remove oily stains.
2.
For garage floors and other smooth troweled concrete,
mix 1/2 gallon of Clean-N-Etch
to 1/2 gallon of water. For other surfaces, mix 1/2
gallon to 1 gallon of water. For light cleaning, mix
1/2 gallon to 11/2 gallons of water.
3.
Working a 10 ft. x 10 ft. section at a time, dampen
surface with water.


4.
Apply Clean-N-Etch with a garden sprayer. Using a stiff-bristled
broom, scrub solution into surface untill foaming action
stops.
5. Triple rinse surface with a strong stream of water,
scrubbing while rinsing to ensure removal of all material.
6.
When dry, check surface by applying a few drops of water.
Water should penetrate quickly - if not, re-etch affected
area.
7.
Allow surface to dry thoroughly before applying paint
or stain.
